Can HubSpot Replace Salesforce? Where It Can and Where It Can’t

October 23, 2026

Since September 3, 2026, Salesforce’s new Core edition has listed at $195 per user per month, while HubSpot’s Sales Hub Professional lists at $90 per seat per month billed annually.

So can HubSpot replace Salesforce? If your team runs on standard objects, yes, and the savings are real. If you lean on custom objects, deep automation or strict field security, the vendors’ own documentation says no, and it gives numbers.

Here’s the route we’ll take. First, what replacing Salesforce can mean, why teams ask now and who each vendor builds for, then where HubSpot wins and where its documented limits start, including 10 custom objects against 200 on legacy Salesforce Enterprise. Every limit comes from vendor documentation, so you can check each one yourself.

After that come regulated data, a 3-year cost model for 10, 25 and 100 users, what list price leaves out, what moves in a migration and a hybrid path with a decision rule. A scorecard, a checklist, a real case study and 15 FAQs close it out, so you can reach your own verdict. If you want a feature-by-feature view instead, our broader Salesforce vs HubSpot comparison walks through it.

What Does Replacing Salesforce Actually Mean?

When someone asks can HubSpot replace Salesforce, they usually mean one of three moves. Each move has a different answer, and the right one for you depends on how much of the platform you actually use.

  • The front-office swap. HubSpot Sales Hub and Service Hub take over pipeline, forecasting and case handling from Sales Cloud, now called Agentforce Sales, and Service Cloud, now called Agentforce Service. The overlap is wide, since both Service Hub and Sales Hub list at the same seat prices and Salesforce’s own pricing table lists Case Management on every Sales Cloud edition it shows. Quoting is the exception, because HubSpot’s knowledge base says tiered pricing and price books need a Revenue Hub subscription.
  • The full-platform swap. HubSpot also has to absorb what Salesforce shops build on top: custom objects, code, a layered security model and heavy reporting. That’s where the documented limits start to matter, and the numbers come up shortly.
  • The side-by-side run. You keep Salesforce as the system of record and add HubSpot next to it, often for marketing. It’s the lowest-risk move, and a later section gives you a decision rule for it.

A front-office swap and a full-platform swap can sound alike in a planning meeting. Their costs, migration work and risks differ a lot, so the sections below keep them apart, and the scorecard near the end helps you place your own team on that line before you spend anything on a pilot.

Why Are So Many Teams Asking This Right Now?

The September 3, 2026 edition reset left buyers with questions, because Salesforce launched Core at $195, Advanced at $395 and Max at $550 per user per month, billed annually, which puts three new price points in front of every buyer. Salesforce also says existing customer pricing on legacy editions remains unchanged, so the new numbers hit new buyers first and renewals that move onto the new editions next. That’s why the question now comes from teams pricing a new CRM and from teams staring at a renewal quote.

Switchers give a second reason, and those stories come from HubSpot’s own case studies. Ving, a software company with 51 to 500 employees, says it outgrew Salesforce and describes a stack of Salesforce plus several extra tools, while PRECISION, a manufacturer with more than 650 employees, used Salesforce for 10 years and wanted sales, marketing and service on one platform. Both stories are undated, and we found no neutral survey of CRM switchers to back or balance them, so they show why teams move and say nothing about how often it works out.

We’re HyphenX, a Salesforce consulting firm, so weigh our view accordingly. HubSpot gets credit wherever its own pages show a win, and every claim that comes from a vendor is labeled as the vendor’s. If you’re comparing HubSpot vs Salesforce because a renewal is coming, the sections below follow the questions you’ll face when you decide whether to replace Salesforce with HubSpot, from fit to limits to cost to the actual move.

Is HubSpot Built for a Company Your Size?

Start with what each company says about its own customers. Both HubSpot’s 10-K and Salesforce’s 10-K are public filings, which makes them firmer ground than a marketing page. They’re short, so read them closely, along with the customer count HubSpot added in its most recent results.

HubSpot, fiscal 2025 filing. HubSpot says it focuses on “mid-market business-to-business” companies, which it defines as “companies that have between 2 and 2,000 employees.” It reported 288,706 customers at December 31, 2025.

Salesforce, fiscal 2026 filing. Salesforce says “We sell to businesses of all sizes and in almost every industry worldwide.” It adds that subscriptions per customer range “from one to hundreds of thousands.”

HubSpot, second quarter 2026 release. HubSpot reported 306,446 customers as of June 30, 2026, up 14%, in its second quarter results released August 5, 2026.

Nucleus Research’s 2026 SFA Technology Value Matrix, published February 24, 2026, names Salesforce a Leader and HubSpot a Core Provider. Treat that as one analyst’s view, and pair it with a hard number from HubSpot’s own technical limits, which list 2,500 users per account. Anyone weighing HubSpot vs Salesforce for enterprise use should read the filing literally, because 2,000 employees is the top of HubSpot’s stated focus.

A company with 150 employees sits well inside that range, and one near 2,000 should ask HubSpot for reference customers at that size, and for the support terms that apply there, before it commits. A larger company has to check the 2,500-user ceiling against its real headcount, including part-time and seasonal users who need logins, and ask HubSpot how view-only users count toward it.

Where HubSpot Genuinely Has the Edge

Give HubSpot its due first. These 5 advantages come from its own pages and the customer stories it publishes, and each one is worth weighing before we get to the limits.

  • A lower entry price per seat. Professional on annual billing lists at less than half of Core’s $195, and Enterprise, which lists from $150, still sits $45 below Core even though it’s the tier that carries custom objects and field permissions. That gap compounds with every seat you add, which the cost model below puts into dollars.
  • View-only seats cost nothing. HubSpot’s catalog lists view-only seats as available at no additional cost on every tier. Teams with many people who only read records and dashboards keep their paid-seat count lower, which matters at 100 users. A finance group or executive team that only reviews pipeline can sit in those seats while the people who work deals hold the paid ones.
  • Headroom on records and properties. Paid accounts allow up to 15 million contacts, and every tier lists 1,000 custom properties per object. That leaves wide room for standard objects like contacts, companies and deals, so record volume isn’t where the documented limits start.
  • One catalog for marketing, sales and service, with prices in plain view. HubSpot sells Marketing, Sales, Service, Content and Data Hubs through one catalog, so a team that wants a single vendor buys from one price list. Its legal catalog lists seat prices, required onboarding fees, credit rates and API capacity packs in one place, while Salesforce lists Shield pricing as varying by customer and leaves the Conversations tile without a listed price. PRECISION’s story in HubSpot’s case studies leans on the same single-vendor appeal, and it’s a vendor claim like any other, so weigh it that way.
  • Customers report an easier setup. Mobilize.net and Metrie, both in HubSpot’s published case studies, cite an easy interface and simple configuration, with no numbers attached. Salesforce’s own comparison page claims the opposite, 17 days to get started against 36 for HubSpot Sales Hub, and neither side shows a method.

These wins are real for teams whose process fits standard objects. They matter less once the data model gets complicated, and the next section shows where that starts. Weigh the five against your own team first, because a win that never touches your daily work won’t offset a limit that does.

Where HubSpot Can’t Keep Up: The Documented Limits

Can HubSpot replace Salesforce once your custom objects, access rules and automation get heavy? Below are the ceilings each vendor documents, and every Salesforce figure carries its legacy edition name because that’s how Salesforce Help still publishes its limits. The last column says what each gap means for a team that has to rebuild.

Capability

HubSpot, documented

Salesforce, legacy edition named

What it changes

Custom objects

Enterprise only, 10 definitions on Smart CRM Enterprise, 20 under Data Hub Enterprise

200 on legacy Enterprise, 2,000 on legacy Unlimited, hard cap 3,000

Heavy data models need redesign before any records move

Access control

Record scopes of all, team, own or unassigned; field permissions need Enterprise

Role hierarchy and sharing rules, both documented on Salesforce Help, extend access up the chain

HubSpot advises against using property restrictions as security

Sandbox

Enterprise only; 1 standard sandbox copying 5,000 recent contacts; deploys 300 changes at a time

25 developer sandboxes on legacy Enterprise, 100 on legacy Unlimited

Testing changes against realistic data sets gets harder with a partial copy

Workflows and flows

300 workflows on Professional, 1,000 on Enterprise

2,000 active flows per flow type on legacy Enterprise and up

Automation-heavy orgs plan around workflow counts

Custom code

Code actions finish in 20 seconds and 128 MB, need Data Hub Professional or Enterprise

Apex allows 100 SOQL queries and 10,000 ms CPU per synchronous transaction

Logic written in Apex needs a redesign

Reporting

100 custom reports on Professional, 500 on Enterprise; 5 data sources per report

Reports display 2,000 rows and time out after 10 minutes

Both have ceilings, but they cap different things, so test your real reports

Formulas and roll-ups

40 calculated properties on Professional, 200 on Enterprise; equations stay within one object

Formula fields hold up to 3,900 characters

Complex formula logic needs rework

Approvals

Deal approvals need Sales Hub Enterprise, with up to 10 approvers per pipeline

Approval Processes are included from Core up

Multi-step approval chains need a fresh design

Salesforce Help documents limits by legacy edition names, such as the 200 custom objects its own article lists for legacy Enterprise, and hasn’t published a map to Core, Advanced or Max. Flows against workflows and Apex against code actions aren’t like for like, which is why the Flow and Apex trade-offs matter if your logic lives in code. Anyone weighing HubSpot vs Salesforce for enterprise should check the custom objects row first, since a data model that needs 15 objects can’t fit in 10, and every figure here was read in October 2026.

Can HubSpot Handle Regulated or Sensitive Data?

What HubSpot Documents

HubSpot offers Sensitive Data on Enterprise subscriptions, and its catalog says HIPAA data is not available in all areas and that you must accept the Business Associate Agreement terms in your account configuration. Once it’s on, you can’t remove the selected categories, and calculation, rollup, property sync and HubSpot user properties can’t store it, while personalization tokens, sandboxes, chatbots and playbooks can’t use it at all. HubSpot hosts in the EU, Canada, Australia and 2 US data centers, though its security page carries a 2023 date, so confirm current regions before you promise a data location to anyone.

What Salesforce Documents

Salesforce sells Shield as a paid add-on bundle of 4 tools, where Platform Encryption uses AES-256 with customer-managed keys and Event Monitoring tracks 80+ event types. Field Audit Trail keeps field history for up to 10 years across up to 200 fields per object, and Shield pricing varies by customer, so it belongs on the cost side of any comparison. The Advanced edition lists Security Center, Backup and Recover and Data Detect as included, and Hyperforce stores data in the country where your org sits.

How to Read the Gap

In the pages we read, we found no HubSpot equivalent of customer-managed field encryption or 10-year field history. A search that comes up empty can’t prove absence, so ask HubSpot for the answer in writing before you rely on either one, and ask your own counsel which controls your auditors expect. We couldn’t read a clean Salesforce attestation list either, and Salesforce’s controls depend on permission hygiene, so budget time for that work whichever way you go.

Original Research: What Each CRM Costs Over Three Years

Original Research_ What Each CRM Costs Over Three Years

Can HubSpot replace Salesforce at a price you’d accept? At HyphenX, we built a 3-year model to find out. It uses the list figures on HubSpot’s pricing catalog and Salesforce’s pricing page, read on October 19, 2026.

  • The formula is users times seat price times 36 months, plus HubSpot’s one-time onboarding. Ten users on Sales Hub Professional is 10 × $90 × 36 = $32,400, plus $1,500 onboarding, which comes to $33,900.
  • List prices stay flat for 36 months with no discounts or uplifts, and every user holds 1 Sales seat. Service seats are left out because neither vendor publishes a bundle price for Sales plus Service.
  • HubSpot totals include required onboarding of $1,500 on Professional and $3,500 on Enterprise. HubSpot lists Enterprise as from $150, so treat that as a floor, and Salesforce prices are billed annually.
  • Implementation, admin time, taxes, add-ons and discounts are excluded from every row, and the next section covers the add-ons that move the total most. Salesforce Max at $550 is left out because it bundles Agentforce for Service, a contact center and IT service, which goes beyond a Sales seat comparison.

Core lists at 2.07x to 2.16x HubSpot Professional and 1.22x to 1.29x HubSpot Enterprise, which at 100 users means a 3-year gap of $376,500 against Professional and $158,500 against Enterprise. The ratio barely moves with headcount because both vendors price per seat, and the only fixed HubSpot cost is onboarding, which is why the gap grows in dollars while the multiple holds steady. Custom objects, field permissions, the sandbox and nested teams all sit in HubSpot Enterprise, so that’s the fair match for a Core buyer who needs them, though parity is unproven because Salesforce hasn’t published a limits map from Core to its legacy editions.

What the Price Tag Leaves Out

Salesforce add-ons and plans. If you replace Salesforce with HubSpot, don’t stop at seat prices, because add-ons such as Agentforce and Premier Success can outweigh the seat gap itself for some teams. Agentforce for Sales lists from $125 per user per month, is available for purchase on Core and Advanced and comes included with Max, which makes 100 users over 36 months $450,000. Premier Success is a second swing item, since Salesforce’s pages disagree on whether Core includes it, and 30% of $702,000 is $210,600 for 100 Core users if it isn’t bundled.

Usage meters. Both vendors meter AI, and the units differ, so a per-action price and a per-conversation price can’t be compared directly until you estimate your own monthly volume. HubSpot’s Customer agent uses 50 credits per resolved conversation at $0.010 each, which is $0.50, while Agentforce uses 20 Flex Credits per standard action at $500 per 100,000, which is $0.10. On the HubSpot side, each API capacity pack adds 1 million daily calls for $500 a month, with a maximum of 2 packs, so one pack over 36 months is $18,000.

Prices the vendors don’t publish. Salesforce lists a Full Sandbox on Core as available for purchase without a price and lists Shield as varying by customer. Neither vendor publishes implementation or admin labor, and seat mix moves HubSpot’s total too, because each seat type carries a different price, and a quote that assumes the cheapest one for everyone will undercount, so count seats by role before you trust any total. Ask who runs the system after go-live, because that’s where managed services show up in the budget, whichever CRM you pick.

How a Salesforce to HubSpot Migration Actually Works

In a Salesforce to HubSpot migration, records have a documented path across. Behavior such as automation, reports and permissions has none that we found, so it gets rebuilt, and the split below shows which side each item lands on before anyone books a cutover date.

What Moves

  • Leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities, tasks, a campaign, cases and events import from Salesforce, on a Professional or Enterprise subscription of a supported hub.
  • Custom objects can be imported as well, and HubSpot requires an Enterprise subscription to create them in the first place.
  • HubSpot requires a unique identifier to match imported data to an existing record, so pick that key before the first load.
  • HubSpot’s import tool takes up to 500 imports and 10 million rows a day through the UI.
  • Large imports can take several hours, because HubSpot paces them to use your Salesforce API calls carefully, so schedule them outside your busiest sales hours.

What Gets Rebuilt or Re-Checked

  • Formula and roll-up summary fields never come out of a Salesforce data export, so you recreate them in HubSpot from scratch.
  • A Salesforce campaign must be set to Active before import and has no direct HubSpot equivalent.
  • The HubSpot docs we read publish no list saying Apex, flows, validation rules, report definitions or permission models carry over, so plan to rebuild them.
  • The Owner value has to match exactly between HubSpot and Salesforce, or ownership won’t map across cleanly.
  • Existing emails, meetings, notes and tasks can’t be updated through import, so decide what history you need before the first load.

Field mapping and cutover planning matter in either direction, and the same planning discipline carries over by analogy from moves into Salesforce. HyphenX’s own Salesforce migration guidance covers moves into Salesforce only, so treat it as a model for discipline, and expect to write the HubSpot-side steps yourself, including a test load of one object before the full run.

Do You Have to Choose? Running HubSpot Next to Salesforce

Can HubSpot replace Salesforce in one department without replacing it everywhere? Yes, because the native sync lets the 2 systems share records, so marketing can live in HubSpot while sales stays put. The sync has 4 documented limits worth planning around, and your answer to the rule below tells you whether to bother.

Our decision rule: If marketing wants HubSpot but your data model, security or automation depends on Salesforce, keep Salesforce as the system of record and sync only the objects marketing needs. If you can’t name one object that has to stay in Salesforce, price a full replacement.

  • You can connect only 1 Salesforce instance to a HubSpot account, so a company with several orgs has to pick one, and a single record can take up to 4 API calls, which can vary.
  • HubSpot maps at most 500 fields per object and can’t sync more than 200,000 companies at the same time, which matters for a large account base.
  • Sync pauses when either side’s API budget runs out, and HubSpot measures usage over a rolling 24-hour window, so one busy day can stall both systems.
  • Custom object sync needs Enterprise, and lookup fields on custom objects can’t be mapped to HubSpot properties.

HyphenX works on the Salesforce side of an integration, which is where the field mapping and API budget questions above get answered. Our Salesforce integration work starts there, with the field mapping and API budget decisions that every hybrid setup depends on, whichever side you plan to treat as the system of record, and long before the first record syncs. That’s also why the decision rule above keeps Salesforce as the system of record whenever your data model leans on it.

Replace or Stay: Score Your Own Situation

Can HubSpot replace Salesforce for your team? Count the true statements that point to Salesforce, subtract the true ones that point to HubSpot, and call the result your net, with 0 as the floor. This is our own scoring rule, and no standard backs it.

Statement

If true, it points to

Why

We need more than 10 custom objects

Salesforce

10 on Smart CRM Enterprise against 200 on legacy Enterprise

We rely on field-level restrictions as real security

Salesforce

HubSpot says API users can still edit restricted properties

We run Apex or flows at scale

Salesforce

Salesforce documents 2,000 active flows per type, plus Apex for code

We test changes in a sandbox with realistic data

Salesforce

HubSpot’s sandbox copies 5,000 recent contacts

We need field encryption with our own keys or 10-year field history

Salesforce

Shield documents both options

We need a role hierarchy that opens records to managers

Salesforce

Salesforce Help documents it

We have more than 2,000 employees

Salesforce

HubSpot’s filing defines its focus as 2 to 2,000

Standard objects cover our process

HubSpot

Contacts, companies, deals and tickets need no custom objects

Most of our users only read dashboards and records

HubSpot

View-only seats are free

The 1.22x to 1.29x list gap against HubSpot Enterprise would justify a rebuild for us

HubSpot

That’s the Core to Enterprise multiple from the cost model

  • Net 0 to 1: replacement looks realistic, so run a pilot with your own data and a short list of your most complex records.
  • Net 2 to 3: prove it first, with a proof of concept or a hybrid pilot that keeps Salesforce as the system of record.
  • Net 4 or more: the documented limits will likely bite, so stay on Salesforce or limit HubSpot to the front office and marketing.

Check each statement with your admin before you score, because a wrong answer on custom objects or code moves the net quickly. Treat the net as a screening step in any HubSpot vs Salesforce decision, and pilot with your own data before you commit. Rerun the score after the pilot, since real records can change a few of your answers.

Your Pre-Switch Readiness Checklist

Your Pre-Switch Readiness Checklist

Run through these 8 items before you sign anything, and leave a box empty only if you know why.

☐ Export every object and field, and list the formula and roll-up fields that the export drops before you plan the rebuild, since those are the ones you recreate by hand.

☐ Check which HubSpot tier holds the features you use, because custom objects, field permissions, sandbox and nested teams are Enterprise only.

☐ Count your custom objects against HubSpot’s limit of 10 on Smart CRM Enterprise, and note which ones carry real data and which are leftovers no one opens.

☐ Clean duplicates and stale records through a CRM cleanup before the export, so you migrate only data you’d keep.

☐ Match every Owner value exactly before the first import, because HubSpot requires an exact match between the systems.

☐ Size the API budget on both sides, because sync pauses when either one runs out of its allowance over the rolling 24 hours.

☐ Get the Premier Success terms in writing before you price Salesforce Core, since the vendor’s own pages differ and the add-on can reach $210,600 at 100 users.

☐ Confirm Sensitive Data and the Business Associate Agreement in writing if you hold regulated records of any kind.

So, can HubSpot replace Salesforce for your team? If 3 or more boxes stay empty, you can’t answer yet, so pause until they’re checked, which is our own rule of thumb with no standard behind it. If you decide to bring in outside help, ask any consulting partner for references, and the guide on how to choose a consulting partner lists what to ask.

Salesforce Depth Behind This Comparison

A fair comparison needs people who have configured Salesforce at scale and know its limits and costs. HyphenX Solutions has 250+ Salesforce professionals across admin, development, integration and consulting roles, so our view comes from projects we’ve delivered ourselves. If you do run both CRMs side by side, the same team can map the sync between them and keep it running. Get to know our team.

Case Study: Fixing What Feeds Salesforce

Sometimes the better move is repairing what feeds the CRM you already own. This case study from our own work shows that route on the Salesforce side.

B2B SaaS Outbound Team: From Swivel-Chair Prospecting to Single-Click Pipeline

A B2B SaaS outbound sales team ran three prospecting tools, and none of them connected to Salesforce Sales Cloud. Reps copied data in by hand, which led to inconsistent records, duplicates and rising email bounce rates. HyphenX connected the three tools through their APIs inside Salesforce, added one-click identify and insert buttons on Lead, Contact and Account records, and put deduplication, email verification and an audit trail in front of every record written. The stated results include one-click identify, verify and insert of a contact or account, and every new lead scored and routed when it’s created.

Key takeaway: Connecting outside data sources works best when deduplication, verification and a source-of-truth rule run before a record is written.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can HubSpot replace Salesforce completely?

For a team on standard objects, yes. For an org with more than 10 custom objects, heavy Apex or strict field security, the documented limits say no. The scorecard above shows which side you’re on, so run it before you plan anything.

Does HubSpot Enterprise mean it is built for large enterprises?

No. Enterprise is the name of HubSpot’s top tier, which lists from $150 per seat per month plus a required $3,500 onboarding fee. Judge fit by headcount and data model, and read the tier name as packaging only.

Is HubSpot cheaper than Salesforce at the starter level?

Slightly. HubSpot Sales Hub Starter lists at $20 per seat per month, with a $7 promotion for new customers, while Salesforce Starter Suite lists at $25 per user per month, billed monthly or annually. Compare the tiers you’d actually buy.

How long does a Salesforce to HubSpot migration take?

HubSpot says most businesses finish within 3 months. Salesforce says simple migrations may take a few weeks and larger projects several months. Both are vendor marketing claims, and neither ties duration to how complex your org is.

What happens to my Salesforce data when I export it?

Weekly exports are available in Enterprise, Performance and Unlimited editions, and monthly exports in all editions except Database.com. Files stay downloadable for 48 hours, and Recycle Bin data isn’t exported, so plan the export window before cutover.

Does HubSpot have custom objects, and can I undo a mistake?

Custom objects need an Enterprise subscription. A deleted custom object can’t be restored, an object’s internal name can’t be edited after creation, and each custom object type allows 9 defined associations with other object types.

Can HubSpot custom code do what Apex does?

Only within tight limits. Custom code actions run Node.js or Python, HubSpot’s docs label the feature beta, and the total length of all secret values can’t exceed 1,000 characters. Count how many API keys your logic needs before you plan a port.

Can I pilot HubSpot without paying for Enterprise?

Not for the hardest parts. HubSpot’s custom objects, sandbox and field permissions all need Enterprise, so a pilot on a lower tier can’t test them. Price a short Enterprise pilot against your most complex records, and ask HubSpot in writing what a trial includes.

Do HubSpot and Salesforce both sign a BAA for HIPAA data?

Each has a process. Salesforce tells customers building healthcare applications to contact their account representative about a Business Associate Addendum, and it lists covered services on a separate page we didn’t read. HubSpot runs its version through Sensitive Data on Enterprise. Have counsel review whichever terms you get.

Can HubSpot and Salesforce run side by side?

Yes. HubSpot’s native integration needs a Salesforce edition with API access, or Salesforce Professional, and it doesn’t support Group Edition. Salesforce Government Cloud is supported, so check your edition before you plan the sync and its daily API budget.

Is Agentforce better than Breeze?

No neutral head-to-head exists, so compare Agentforce with HubSpot’s Breeze AI on your own use case. Salesforce reported Agentforce ARR above $1.5 billion, up over 240%, in its August 26, 2026 results, and we found no comparable HubSpot figure. Agentforce User License is $5 per user per month and requires Flex Credits.

Do many companies replace Salesforce with HubSpot?

We found no neutral, dated survey. HubSpot says 71% of 232 surveyed switchers report a lower total cost of ownership, and Salesforce says 99% of customers who switched from HubSpot are satisfied. Neither shares a method.

What is a HubSpot seat, and does every user need one?

At Enterprise, a Core Seat lists at $75, a Sales or Service Seat at $150 and a Revenue Seat at $140 per month, while the Core Seat lists at $50 on Professional. Count seats by what each person does, because full hub features need a Sales, Service or Revenue Seat.

How big are the Salesforce and HubSpot app marketplaces?

Salesforce’s February 9, 2026 news cites more than 9,000 partner apps and expert listings, and its marketplace is now called AgentExchange, formerly AppExchange. HubSpot says its marketplace has 2,000+ apps. All of these are vendor-stated counts.

Did Salesforce’s new editions change the comparison?

Yes, for new buyers. Core, Advanced and Max launched September 3, 2026, and Salesforce says existing legacy edition pricing remains unchanged. Salesforce Help now calls Sales Cloud Agentforce Sales and Service Cloud Agentforce Service, so expect both names in the wild.
